I am in my first year of empty nesting after having been a very busy mama with 3 of my own kids, 4 stepkids, 1 foreign exchange student, 1 master commission student, and 4 foster kids.  I think I’m ready to enjoy my life now.  Actually I love motherhood.  But I’m enjoying grandparenting even more!  I have an e-commerce web store called Sconey Island, where I sell premium loose leaf teas, scones, party supplies and gift items.

Although I woefully regretted entering the dreaded “golden years”, I am finding that these are years of new discoveries, and the hope of finding time to re-discover some of my favorite old things like crafting and hosting parties, reading, gardening and playing music. I’ve even ventured into the blogging/writing scene.  Tea On  Tuesday is my chance to just sit and have a cup of tea and visit with friends from all over the world.  Hope you’ll join me often.
