It’s a beautiful day here at Selah Inn. The landscape is covered in a blanket of freshly fallen snow. From up on my perch I can see the glorious peaks of the Cascade Mountain Range in all it’s glory. I love this place. The place that God inspired us to build. Our vision was to have a Bed and Breakfast here. I still believe that was God’s vision for us. Only God’s definition of a Bed and Breakfast was quite different from mine. See, God knew that we’d have plenty of beds to be slept in, and plenty of mouths to feed. But instead of bringing us tourists just passing through on their way to another scenic destination, He has brought us the poor, the broken and the needy, as they pass through in need of a place of quiet reflection, safety, and love.
I love to host tea parties in the dining room here. It is so lovely looking out on the landscape below. The are hay fields and horses, Juniper trees, and in the distance 8 majestic mountain peaks constantly remind me of the glorious majesty of my Heavenly Father in all His splendor.
I have loved hosting my virtual tea parties here on this blog too. However I have long desired to blog about something more than the pleasures of having tea with crumpets. I love those things, don’t get me wrong! But my life right now has shifted. I feel the blog must shift as well. So this blog will sadly come to an end.
I have discovered a great little site called blog2print where you can save your blog in book form. How cool is that? So Tea On Tuesday is going to become a conversation starting coffee table book in my house, with a beginning, a middle and an end. Today I am writing the last page of that book. There are other things to write about. So if you’re so inclined to want to see the new direction my life is taking, you can check out http://SelahInn.blogspot.com for more stories from our little corner of the world. It is been my pleasure to share a cup of tea and some fun stories with you. Thanks for listening.
The End
